During 04-06 June, 2023, Mr. Khamla Phommavanh, the Managing Director of Lao Airlines attended the 79th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the World Transport Summit 2023 which was held in Istanbul, Turkey. The meeting gathering of senior executives of the global airlines that are members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and various strategic partners. The meeting discussed about the overall situation of the aviation business around the world, especially the recovery from the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic, safety issues, challenges and opportunities, and the sustainability of aviation sector. On this occasion Mr. Khamla Phommavanh, the Managing Director of Lao Airlines also met and discussed with Mr. Conrad Clifford, Corporate Secretary of the IATA.
