Inaugural Meeting on Lao Airlines Reform Plan and Appointment of New Deputy Director General
Lao Airlines State Enterprise held an inaugural meeting on 14 October 2026 to discuss its reform implementation plan and formally announce the appointment of Captain Visakhone PHETXAYSY as the new Deputy Director General.
Reform Implementation Plan
The meeting was attended by Mr. Det Songkham THAMMAVONG, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Mr. Saleum TAYARATH, Acting Managing Director of Lao Airlines, who delivered remarks during the proceedings.
Mr. Phoutthasin KEOKA, Deputy Head of the Commercial Department, presented an overview of the proposed reform implementation plan for the reform committee’s consideration. The meeting marked an initial step in discussing the direction and implementation of the enterprise’s reform plan.
Appointment of the New Deputy Director General
The appointment decision for Captain Visakhone PHETXAYSY was formally presented during the event. A flower basket was also presented to the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport as a gesture of appreciation for attending and presenting the appointment decision.
