Laos lies in the heart of South-East Asia. Getting there is easy, even though there are currently no long-haul flights to/from Laos. However, Laos is very well connected by international flights to/from several cities in South-East Asia as well as East Asia.
The capital of Thailand is one of the main gateways into South-East Asia. More than 100 airlines serve Bangkok. Please note that there are two airports in Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK). Lao Airlines operates from Suvarnabhumi. We offer two daily flights from Bangkok to Vientiane. During winter, we also offer nonstop flights from Bangkok to Luang Prabang (LPQ) in Northern Laos.
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is also a good gateway to travel to Laos, especially if you are coming from East Asia (e.g. Japan) or from North America. Lao Airlines offers daily flights from Seoul’s Incheon Airport (ICN) to Vientiane. Together with our interline partners we can also get you all the way from America to Laos via Seoul. Check our the list of our partner airlines.
Lao Airlines operates daily flights from Hanoi to Vientiane and also offers regular flights from Hanoi to Luang Prabang.
We fly from Vientiane to Kunming (KMG) in Yunnan Province as well as Guangzhou (CAN) in Guangzhou Province. We also operate charter flights to several other cities in China, however, these cannot be booked directly via Lao Airlines.
Lao Airlines does not currently offer flights to places outside of Asia. However, we work together with many partner airlines. You can book flights with 30+ airlines partners which will take you to Bangkok or Seoul and from there you will continue your journey to Laos by Lao Airlines. You can book such trips with our partners like EVA Air, Qantas or Emirates. Check the full list of our partner airlines.
Apart from the main gateways mentioned above, you can also fly with Lao Airlines to Laos from Chiang Mai (Thailand), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Danang* (Vietnam) and Ho Chi Minh City.
