Lao Airlines and Jeollanam-do Province, South Korea, jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation to promote new flights between Vientiane-Muan-Vientiane and Luang Prabang-Muan-Luang Prabang.

On July 23, 2024, Mr. Khamla Phommavanh, Managing Director of Lao Airlines, along with the team, had met and visited Mr. Kim Yung-Rok, the Governor of Jeollanam-do Province, Mr. Kim-San, the Mayor of Muan-gun, and Mr. Lee Jeong-ki, the Acting President of Korea Airport, to discuss and explore the cooperation to promote flights between Vientiane-Muan-Vientiane, Luang Prabang-Muan-Luang Prabang as well as to promote tourism, economy, and transportation of both countries. At the same time, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Lao Airlines, Jeollanam-do Province, Muan-gun and Korea Airports Corporation to ensure the implementation of the highest efficiency and effectiveness.
