The historic first A check on wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft was performed at the Lao Airlines hangar in Vientiane, Laos. The VietJet Air A330 aircraft registration VN-A814 arrived at Wattay International Airport on 9th July 2023 at 6:00 AM (Local time). In this special occasion, the VietJet Air Team led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Thinh Vice President was welcome by Mr Khamla PHOMMAVANH, our managing director.

VietJet Air’s technical team will carry out the A check in Lao Airlines’ Hangar, which involve inspecting the aircraft’s systems, components, fluids, tires, brakes, and cabin equipment. The check also ensures that the plane met the safety and performance standards required by the aviation authorities.

This historic event marks a significant milestone in the partnership between Lao Airlines and VietJet Air, following the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Saigon on 31st May 2023. This achievement reflects the strong cooperation and partnership between our two airlines, and it is the first of many aircraft that will visit the Lao Airlines hangar in Wattay International Airport from 2023 – 2025.
